I never even thought there was horror-style suspense to the series. I just wanted to know how they can get the Isuzu x Hiroshi relationship to work out. Can't say I've gone out of my way to root for Hiroshi, but he hasn't annoyed me either so I'm still fine with him being lead.

Personally, I think both series are lousy in their own ways. I'm certainly not tooting Umineko's horn in any way, and I didn't really expect Higurashi 2.0 from Ookami Kakushi -- not after the first episode, anyway. It's an OK series, but I can't really get into the horror/suspense aspect of it all, and it's largely because of Hiro. I just can't give a shit about him in any way, not even in the basic "Man, I hope bad things don't happen to him!" or "I hope he finds the answer to this soon!" ways.

Because you like to sit on desks and have brandy with your tea? xD

I'm the serious prideful one, so of course I'd pick Reinhard from a personality point lol.

Don't I need to catch up to you on Shugo Chara though?

Too bad I'm so far behind that I can't make an informed and intelligent response so I'll just say this. I'll have to side with Yang Wen-li based strictly on him as a person rather than political beliefs since I can relate.

Also when you get around to Shugo Chara let's watch together.

@Joojoobees:
But Hakuouki is obviously putting the Shinsengumi into a fantasy realm, and "people turning into ogres" is a pretty well-accepted part of Japanese folklore. As long as they drop it under historical fantasy I'm not going to tackle them for accurate portrayal. I mean, I sure enjoyed Sengoku Basara as soon as Date showed off his horse with exhaust pipes xD.
I still expect Mayoi Neko Overrun to be generic

@Sapphire Pyro:
I'll have to put together some kind of mental filter to blur her out xD
Yea B Gata H Kei disturbs me too, hence why I worry about the result of this curiosity lol

@Scamp:
I'm kind of picky about at least having an enjoyable art style when I watch anime =\. The two Noitamina shows are both taking too many liberties with the art budget. Besides, I never really liked Samurai Champloo, so Five Leaves is... meh.
Actually, Na-Ga, the character designer for Angel Beats!, wasn't on the KEY design team until Little Busters! And the LB male cast has much more interesting individuals (Kyousuke is sheer awesome, and Masato's muscle-vision is hilarious). There's quite a drastic difference between Angel Beats! cast and both Kanon/Clannad because of him, including the game's theme which mostly switch from Kanon/Clannad's family-oriented to LB's camaraderie.

There's two Noitamina shows this season and you're not interested in either of them? My semi-elitist side cannot handle this outrage!

While even I'm interested in Angel Beats, a moefied version of Baccano is most certainly not what I'm expecting. I can't see Jun Maeda going from the polar opposite type series like Clannad to something even remotely Baccano-esque. I just don't think he has it in him to create those style characters, even moefied versions. If anything, I'm expecting something closer to an Evangelion type series

BTW, aren't Shaft always on Shrooms?

Watch hakouki for everything else aside from the heroine. she sucks to the core =_=

b gata h kei disturbs me too much . . .though I admit I'm becoming curious because it's quite... unusual.

we have pretty similar lists. I'm excited for next season xD

"Combine KEY’s top-tier drama with the philosophical surrealism of discussing life after death, then add in some gangwars action that’ll come out like some moeified version of Baccano!"

LOL. You actually make it sound interesting enough to watch, and I wasn't planning to.

I really like samurai, so I'm mostly looking forward to House of Five Leaves. I'm also hoping that Hakuouki: Shinsengumi Kitan will be worth watching. If you think Night Raid is going to take liberties with history, consider: the Shinsengumi are turning into ogres because of some Dutch guy??

Re: Mayoi Neko Overrun. I'm glad somebody else noticed that the artwork on the trailer was very nice. I was starting to feel a little foolish, because I glanced at the first chapter of the manga and it was looking like a pretty standard harem comedy. But looking at the artwork makes me hope for more.
