Three seasons and six manga series later, this still remains by far my favorite moment~

I’ve rambled much on why the movie was so much better than the original series, which was groundbreaking in the mahou shoujo genre to begin with. The brand new scenes the movie introduced were terrific, but nothing beats the new, crisp, high-production version of their beautiful parting scene~

On one side you have Nanoha, who had always felt lonely and left out; the third wheel of her group of friends, the girl who always felt there was something yet unknown waiting for her in life—

On the other side stood Fate, who had never experienced friendship or love for herself, who had suffered through a childhood of abuse in hopes of reaching for a shattered dream—

On one fateful day, they met~

Over one common goal, they fought~

For one kindred wish, they joined~

In one gentle moment, they embraced~

And their red strings of fate were forever intertwined, destined to be best friends for eternity~

And much, much more~

So beautiful, so sweet~ I love this series, and I love this couple~

.

…now if only I can see Fate propose, in canon~
